Product Marketing Manager, Prophecy
Job description
About the role
You own the end-to-end positioning and narrative for Prophecy, Somnia's prediction protocol, translating its agentic L1 capabilities into clear value for traders, builders, and partners. You are responsible for shaping how Prophecy shows up in the world and ensuring its technical edge is translated into compelling, differentiated messaging across all audiences. You will lead every launch and run experiments that turn a new prediction protocol into a category-defining brand, acting as the connective tissue between product, growth, comms, and community. This is a builder's role where you write the playbook rather than merely steward it, with decisions made quickly and impact visible in the market within weeks. You will own the customer and market research that informs product roadmap, pricing, and creative, while maintaining a sharp competitive lens to ensure Prophecy is always clearly differentiated. You will brief and produce content that earns attention, from launch threads and longform research to KOL kits and conference assets, meeting a quality bar that is "screenshotted on CT." Finally, you will instrument everything with clear KPIs, own the weekly reporting rhythm, and act as the channel partner-in-chief internally to ensure consistent, on-message activations across all go-to-market efforts.
Key facts
What you'll do
Own positioning and messaging for Prophecy end-to-end, defining what it is, who it is for, why it is different, and why now through sharp narratives that translate technical primitives like real-time settlement, AI resolution, and agentic liquidity into defensible stories for trader, builder, and partner audiences.
Lead go-to-market for every Prophecy launch, including mainnet milestones, new market categories, agent integrations, partner activations, and token or incentive moments, running cross-functional launch pods that span product, engineering, comms, growth, design, and BD.
Define and run the marketing roadmap for Prophecy in lockstep with product and community leads, sequencing launches, campaigns, and content so each beat compounds on the last rather than competing for airtime.
Build the audience for Prophecy by designing and executing always-on programs that grow a qualified base of builders and partners who can accelerate on-chain prediction market adoption.
Own competitive intelligence by maintaining a live read on the competitive landscape so you can continuously differentiate and position Prophecy against other on-chain prediction and market infrastructure solutions.
Run customer and market research by regularly talking to traders, builders, and KOLs and bringing insight back into the product roadmap, pricing strategy, and creative direction.
Brief and produce content that earns attention in the web3 space, including launch threads, longform research notes, explainer videos, dashboards, KOL kits, conference assets, and AMA narratives, with a quality bar that is "screenshotted on CT."
Partner with the comms team on tier-1 press, podcast bookings, and thought leadership to land Prophecy in publications and shows that the target audience actually reads and listens to.
Instrument everything by defining the KPIs that matter and owning the weekly reporting rhythm, killing initiatives that are not working and doubling down on those that prove their impact.
Be the channel partner-in-chief internally by briefing channel owners on the Prophecy narrative so every channel can ship consistent, on-message activations without you in the room.
Contribute to the broader marketing and product documentation for Prophecy, ensuring that positioning, buyer personas, and competitive differentiators are clearly captured and shared with the organization.
Support community-led growth by working closely with community managers to design content, campaigns, and experiences that deepen engagement and bring builders into the Prophecy ecosystem.
Represent Prophecy in external discussions and forums, ensuring that the narrative is clear, consistent, and compelling to potential partners, analysts, and media.
Continuously test messaging frameworks and creative approaches, using qualitative and quantitative signals to refine positioning and improve conversion across all touchpoints.
Champion a culture of experimentation by running small, fast tests, measuring outcomes, and sharing learnings to accelerate the entire team's understanding of what resonates in-market.
Requirements
5+ years in product marketing, with at least 2 of those years spent on a consumer-facing web3 product such as prediction markets, derivatives DEX, perps, options, equities trading, or fintech with a trader audience.
Crypto-native fluency is required; you hold a wallet, understand on-chain UX, know the difference between a CLOB and an AMM, can read a token incentive design, and have shipped go-to-market for at least one Web3 product that reached the market.
You have a track record of owning launches end-to-end, from positioning briefs through measurable post-launch impact, and you can talk through 2-3 launches in detail including the thesis, the bets, the numbers, and what you would do differently next time.
Sharp narrative instinct is essential; you can take a 40-page technical spec and produce a 280-character hook that builders want to share, and writing samples will be requested as part of the application.
Quantitative fluency is required; you frame every campaign around hypotheses, read the data yourself rather than waiting for analytics, and use numbers to drive decisions and clearly communicate outcomes.
You operate with an operator mindset, making things happen quickly in ambiguous environments while balancing tradeoffs and maintaining clarity of narrative and execution.
You are comfortable working asynchronously in a remote-first environment, using written communication effectively and aligning with fast-moving product and engineering teams without constant oversight.
You have experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams including product, engineering, design, growth, comms, and business development to deliver integrated launch outcomes.
You are passionate about on-chain prediction markets and understand the nuances of how traders engage with real-time, high-frequency, and agent-driven market mechanisms.
Nice to have
Experience in token and incentive design related to prediction markets or trading products.
Background in building or launching DEX, derivatives, or other on-chain trading infrastructure.
Prior work with AI-native or agentic systems and understanding of how they interface with market mechanisms.
Familiarity with protocols building on modular or agentic L1s and the broader Web3 stack.
Experience building and scaling communities around niche web3 products, especially those focused on trading and prediction.
Practical notes
This role is fully remote and open to contributors in any time zone, though asynchronous written communication is essential.
There is no specified travel requirement, and visa sponsorship is not indicated at this time.
The application should include writing samples that demonstrate your ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives.
Hiring is expected to move quickly given the fast-paced, builder-first culture and the market windows that Prophecy operates within.
