As an Associate Product Manager, you will work side by side with designers, engineers, clinicians, and product leaders to shape how millions of people experience healthcare, and you will research, build, test, and ship features that make the Solace platform better with each passing week.

What you'll do
- Learn product management fundamentals by working alongside experienced product professionals every day.
- Generate bold ideas and refine them through rigorous team feedback and structured iteration cycles.
- Produce and launch new concepts quickly, embracing the possibility of failure as a valuable learning tool.
- Partner with engineers, designers, and clinicians to create meaningful improvements for both patients and advocates.
- Keep projects moving forward, ensure deadlines are met, and turn uncertainty into clear and actionable direction.
- Test, document, and release features that deliver incremental improvements to the Solace platform each week.
- Develop your skills in writing specifications, analyzing data, conducting user interviews, and making informed product decisions.
- Study how great product teams operate and apply those lessons to your own day to day work.
- Help translate complex healthcare challenges into simple, actionable product requirements for the broader team.
- Support the launch of new initiatives from early research through final delivery and ongoing iteration.
- Attend cross-functional meetings and contribute to discussions about product direction and user needs.
- Observe how clinical workflows operate and identify opportunities where technology can reduce friction for patients.
Requirements
- You have a strong bias toward action and thrive when working with timelines that others might consider unrealistic.
- You are genuinely curious about how complex systems, especially healthcare, function and can be improved over time.
- You are comfortable working in ambiguous situations and can maintain clarity when things feel chaotic or uncertain.
- You communicate your ideas clearly and confidently, both in writing and in face to face conversations.
- You take pride in the quality of your work and pay close attention to even the smallest details.
- You are based in the United States and can work in person in Redwood City three days per week.
- You bring enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn product management from the ground up.
- You do not need years of prior product management experience, but you must be eager to grow quickly.
- You have a sense of care and take responsibility for the impact your work has on real users.
- You are someone who sees a problem and feels compelled to solve it rather than walk away.
Nice to have
- You have contributed to projects, internships, or student teams where you organized, led, or shipped a tangible outcome.
- You have some familiarity with healthcare systems, patient experiences, or health advocacy work in any setting.
- You have used product management tools such as project trackers or prototyping software in any capacity before.
- You enjoy working in fast paced environments where priorities shift frequently and adaptability is essential.
- You have experience analyzing user feedback and turning qualitative insights into concrete product improvements.
Skills & tools
- Ability to write clear product specifications and detailed user stories for development teams to follow.
- Comfort with data analysis and interpreting metrics to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.
- Experience or willingness to conduct user interviews and gather qualitative feedback from real users.
- Familiarity with project management platforms and collaboration tools used by product teams in startups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional teamwork and coordination.
- Aptitude for rapid prototyping and testing product concepts with actual users in the field.
