What you'll do
Establish design and construction standards clearly, reducing flaws and protecting time and budget through expert decision-making.
Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and bidding through permitting, construction, and handover for renovations and new build.
Safeguard project scope by maintaining rigorous oversight of the design process to minimize unnecessary changes.
Control project timelines by managing design, permitting, and construction durations against the plan.
Maintain a comprehensive risk register and present mitigations regularly to internal and external partners.
Requirements
Bring 10+ years of experience leading large-scale urban redevelopments as a Project Director or Development Director for a major hospitality brand or developer.
Demonstrate a proven track record of 5+ completed New York City construction or redevelopment projects, including Shell & Core and high-end hospitality fitout.
Show an intimate understanding of NYC planning, building, and Landmarks regulations.
extensive experience negotiating multi-trade construction packages and a broad network of general contractors and trades in the Tri-State area.
Have experience in global hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury brand environments.
Master the legal, financial, and design aspects of hospitality development.
Exhibit exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiently use project management tools and enterprise reporting systems.
Travel within the United States as required, with 2 4 international trips per year.
Hold a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
Practical notes
This role requires US work authorization and the ability to obtain it without company sponsorship.
Onsite presence is expected at the New York Support Office and project site as needed.
Travel within the US and 2 4 international trips per year may be required.
