About the role
The owns the end-to-end delivery of the Soho Farmhouse New York, a significant land and multi-building hotel resort in the Hudson Valley scheduled for a Q2 2028 opening. You will manage the execution of construction and technical decisions for the resort in coordination with general contractors and trade subcontractors through preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout. This position requires strong administrative coordination with subcontractors and vendors to establish and maintain productive working relationships across the entire project duration. You will work on-site with the Superintendent to ensure safe, on-schedule execution to specification for the Hudson Valley resort. The role involves ensuring contractor and subcontractor performance against contract documents and project drawings to meet all contractual obligations for the resort. You will be responsible for preparing, tracking, and processing change order proposals for owner review and approval to accurately reflect project adjustments. Additionally, you will review and verify contractor and subcontractor payment applications (AIAs) for accuracy before approval to ensure correct payments.

What you'll do

Support the development and implementation of project schedules, risk registers, and issue logs to maintain proactive tracking and reporting.
Liaise with legal, financial, and design stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand standards and operational requirements for the resort.
Utilize project management tools and enterprise reporting systems to provide transparent tracking and reporting to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle to enhance efficiency and delivery for the Hudson Valley resort.
Coordinate cross-functional workshops and decision-making sessions to resolve project constraints and align on mitigation strategies.
Manage stakeholder communications to ensure timely approvals and alignment with project objectives for the resort.
Monitor procurement processes to ensure timely contracting of vendors and trades in line with project milestones.
Contribute to budget management and cost control efforts to ensure project financial targets are met for the resort.
Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights for future Soho House development initiatives.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Development Manager, or similar role leading large-scale redevelopments.
5+ successfully executed, Tri-State area-based construction and/or re-development projects, including extensive Shell & Core and high-end residential or hospitality fitout.
Historic renovation experience is mandatory to meet preservation and regulatory demands.
Intimate understanding of New York State building codes to ensure compliant design and execution.
Extensive experience negotiating multi-trade construction packages and maintaining existing relationships with wider GC and trade networks in the Tri-State area.
Experience working in a global hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury brand environment to align with brand expectations.
Strong understanding of legal, financial, and design aspects of hospitality development to support decision quality.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to guide cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with project management tools and enterprise reporting systems for transparent tracking and reporting.
Ability to travel within the United States and 2-4 times per year internationally to support project needs.
Masters Degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field to demonstrate required expertise.
