What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive market research to benchmark compensation practices against industry standards, ensuring SoFi remains competitive in attracting top talent.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends and insights that inform strategic decision-making regarding salary structures and incentive programs.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to design and implement compensation programs that align with SoFi's goals and values.
- Develop and maintain compensation models to evaluate the effectiveness of current compensation strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings and recommendations related to compensation analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing compensation practices, including federal and state requirements.
- Participate in the annual salary review process, providing insights and recommendations to ensure fair and equitable compensation across the organization.
- Support the development of job descriptions and salary ranges for new and existing positions, ensuring alignment with market data and internal equity.
- Act as a subject matter expert on compensation-related inquiries from employees and management, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of compensation programs, making recommendations for enhancements based on employee feedback and market trends.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that compensation budgets are adhered to and that any changes are communicated effectively across the organization.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in compensation, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation within SoFi's compensation framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar role, preferably within a financial services or technology company.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in compensation analysis tools and software, as well as advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance requirements at both the federal and state levels.
Nice to have
- Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
- Experience with HRIS systems and compensation management software.
- Familiarity with equity compensation plans and their administration.
