About the role
This position involves leading event-based pipeline generation efforts to fuel the company's growth initiatives. You will be responsible for driving revenue through strategic events, managing logistics, and supporting account-based outreach to key stakeholders in the financial ecosystem. This role requires close collaboration with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful engagement strategies before and after every event interaction. The hire will own the end-to-end lifecycle of major events, translating business objectives into compelling attendee experiences that convert engagement into measurable pipeline. You will leverage data and market insights to refine event strategies and optimize the return on investment for each activation. Success in this role depends on your ability to balance creative event concepts with rigorous execution and detailed operational oversight. You will act as the central point of coordination for cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment between marketing, sales, and product objectives.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with Field Marketing, GTM Pods, and Vertical Marketing to develop event strategies that align with current business priorities.
- Manage the planning and execution of all major hosted events and summits, ensuring each event meets defined business outcomes.
- Coordinate with external vendors for contract negotiation, deadlines, and budget management to maintain cost efficiency and quality.
- Create and manage outbound outreach sequences in Apollo to attract target accounts and drive high-quality event registrations.
- Prepare opportunity overviews and instructions for attending executives to ensure they are equipped to engage effectively during sessions.
- Oversee attendee engagement, meeting status, and follow-up actions to drive revenue and move opportunities forward in the pipeline.
- Ensure timely collection of post-event reports and follow-up activities from internal teams to capture learnings and maintain momentum.
- Track and analyze event ROI and performance metrics, offering data-driven improvement suggestions for future initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners to identify co-marketing opportunities and joint event potential.
- Own the content development for event collateral, ensuring messaging is consistent and tailored to the target audience segments.
- Lead pre-event briefing sessions with stakeholders to clarify objectives, roles, and success criteria for each event.
- Implement post-event nurture campaigns to sustain engagement with attendees and convert interest into scheduled meetings.
- Monitor competitive landscape insights related to event marketing and incorporate findings into strategic planning.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding event timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in event planning, marketing events, or trade show management within a B2B environment.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple events concurrently, from small executive gatherings to large conferences across various industries.
- Strong understanding of event marketing, lead generation, and audience engagement strategies specific to enterprise software sales.
- Excellent project management, budgeting, and negotiation abilities to handle complex event requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience managing event production, sponsorships, and vendor relationships while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Ability to work across departments with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align event strategies with overarching business goals.
- Proficiency with event management tools like Cvent, Eventbrite, Salesforce, or Marketo for registration, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with an understanding of branding and storytelling to create memorable event experiences.
- Willingness to travel for on-site event management as necessary, including occasional overnight stays for major conferences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly and adaptability is essential for success.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and ensure accuracy in all event materials.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze event performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for future events.
