Skyline Construction invites you to step into a strategic leadership role where you will own the end to end financial and operational performance of assigned business units within our commercial interiors service line. You will report directly to the Vice President and act as a key member of the Executive Management team, shaping the direction and growth of our operations. What you'll do

Provide strategic oversight and direction for assigned commercial interiors business units to ensure alignment with company goals and market opportunities.

Own the end to end financial performance of your assigned unit, including revenue, profitability, cash flow, and budget adherence.

Collaborate with the Vice President and executive team to develop, implement, and refine operational strategies that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and support staff to foster a high performance culture focused on delivery excellence.

Drive the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the commercial interiors sector, supporting growth initiatives.

Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring that project outcomes meet or exceed expectations while reinforcing our reputation for quality.

Monitor key performance indicators and prepare detailed reports to inform executive decision making and strategic adjustments.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating processes, adopting best practices, and removing operational barriers.

Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance across all projects and teams.

Act as a key liaison between field operations and corporate leadership to communicate insights, risks, and opportunities effectively.

Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans for on the ground teams, aligning resources with project demands.

Support the development and implementation of tools, systems, and metrics that enhance visibility and control over project performance.

Promote cross functional collaboration to streamline workflows and improve coordination among project teams.

Champion data driven decision making to optimize resource allocation, scheduling, and cost management.

Requirements

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and this role is not eligible for remote or hybrid arrangements.

You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Bay Area, California, and be prepared to travel as required within the states of California, Washington, and Illinois.

You must have a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction or a closely related field.

You must have demonstrated success managing teams of twenty or more employees across multiple concurrent projects.

You must possess a strong understanding of commercial interiors project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.

You must have a proven track record of achieving profitable project outcomes while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.

You must be comfortable using financial data, budgets, and key performance indicators to drive decisions and measure success.

You must be able to travel regularly, potentially up to twenty five percent, to support project needs and client meetings across our service regions.

Nice to have

Practical notes

This is a full time position based in the Bay Area, California.

Travel is required, potentially up to twenty five percent of the time, to support project teams and client engagements across California, Washington, and Illinois.
