What you'll do

• Orchestrate intake sequences for Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT appointments to optimize patient flow and verify eligibility before any scan commences.
• Prepare and calibrate imaging systems daily to uphold the strictest standards of safety and image quality for every examination performed.
• Execute advanced Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT protocols, adjusting positioning and communication to accommodate the specific needs of each patient.
• Review acquired images meticulously to detect artifacts or gaps, coordinating promptly with patients and physicians to secure complete diagnostic datasets.
• Ship final processed studies into secure systems, ensuring that referring physicians receive timely reports and high-quality images for their review.
• Collaborate with radiology teams and schedulers to align appointment timing, contrast availability, and clinical priorities seamlessly.
• Maintain unwavering compliance with radiation safety procedures, including vigilant monitoring of room conditions and thorough documentation for every Nuclear Medicine and CT session.
• Update examination parameters for dual-energy CT workflows to guarantee that images remain clear, consistent, and diagnostically reliable across all studies.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of the outpatient imaging service by supporting the seamless integration of technology, clinical protocols, and patient care.
• Act as a key liaison between the technical team and clinical stakeholders to resolve any imaging-related issues swiftly and professionally.
• Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on accuracy and patient comfort.

Requirements

• Hold current certification for Nuclear Medicine Technology from the NMTCB or an equivalent board recognized in California.
• Possess demonstrable experience performing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams in outpatient settings.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate safely and accurately during routine examinations without compromising diagnostic quality.
• Exhibit a working knowledge of amyloid cardiac and oncology PET/CT protocols to produce reliable results for referring physicians.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and regulatory compliance for all imaging procedures.
• Maintain strong organizational skills to manage patient intake, scheduling, and study tracking effectively.
• Show proficiency with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiological principles relevant to Nuclear Medicine and CT imaging.
• Commit to following all departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards consistently.

This is a full-time position based at the SimonMed facility located at 14651 S Bascom Ave, Ste 120, Los Gatos, CA 95032. Reliable daily commute to this specific Los Gatos facility is required because onsite presence supports consistent imaging schedules and operational continuity. Compensation is offered at a rate of $56.00 per hour. The role demands consistent attendance and active participation in a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
