What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable full-stack solutions that meet the needs of our platform and users.
- Build and enhance web applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, performant, and aligned with product requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Define and implement best practices for software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance to ensure high-quality code and efficient workflows.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to handle increasing user demands and data loads effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within the team.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, including architecture, technology stack, and deployment strategies, contributing to the overall product roadmap.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across both frontend and backend components, adhering to industry standards.
- Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline development cycles and improve reliability.
- Participate in regular team meetings, code reviews, and technical discussions to share knowledge and improve team practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate relevant innovations into the platform.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features, including those involving AI, geolocation, and real-time data integration, to enhance platform capabilities.
- Work within the company's infrastructure, utilizing AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, including considerations for SOC II and other relevant certifications.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of the platform, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to improve internal processes, documentation, and overall engineering practices.
- Engage in regular feedback cycles with stakeholders to refine features and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Contribute to a collaborative and innovative work environment, sharing knowledge and supporting team growth.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong focus on both frontend and backend technologies.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, NestJS, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL.
- Experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
- Proven ability to design and implement user interfaces, server-side APIs, and integrate front-end and back-end systems effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of working efficiently in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with international teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from initial conception through deployment, including feedback incorporation.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Knowledge of software security best practices, including secure coding and deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration tools such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in or understanding of the renewable energy or SaaS industry is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Experience with geolocation technologies, real-time data processing, and AI integrations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SOC II compliance and secure development practices is beneficial.
