About the role
The Sales Compensation Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing and streamlining the sales compensation framework at Sigma. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compensation distributions through detailed analysis, while also refining processes and reporting to align compensation with overall business performance. This position is suited for a proactive individual who values ownership, data accuracy, and collaboration across Finance, Revenue Operations, and Go-To-Market leadership.

What you'll do
- Oversee the complete commission calculation process, ensuring accuracy in sales commissions and incentive payments.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in calculations and handle stakeholder issues efficiently. Collaborate with the Finance team for compensation accruals and reporting during close cycles.
- Manage the compensation platform in conjunction with the team, including system updates and user access coordination.
- Ensure smooth data integration between CRM (Salesforce), HRIS, ERP, and compensation systems.
- Assist in managing quota rules, crediting structures, and payout policies.
- Prepare documentation and communication materials for Go-To-Market teams.
- Work closely with Finance, Sales Operations, HR, and Data teams to ensure compensation structures align with business objectives.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy and reduce manual workloads.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales compensation, preferably in rapidly growing SaaS companies.
- Advanced skills in Salesforce CRM, Sigma, and spreadsheet applications.
- Understanding of consumption-based models and usage-driven Go-To-Market strategies.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a systems-oriented mindset.
- Clear communication skills, capable of explaining complex compensation concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with modern sales compensation tools (e.g., QuotaPath, CaptivateIQ) including plan setup, calculations, and reporting.
- Highly preferred: Familiarity with SQL or similar query languages for advanced commission modeling and troubleshooting.

Practical notes
The salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $170,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
