ShiftKey is actively building a Business Development Representative who will own the critical front-end of the sales pipeline by initiating outbound prospecting and qualification. In this capacity, you will be responsible for generating a steady stream of product demonstration meetings that feed the broader sales organization. You will refine your consultative approach daily while directly contributing to the expansion of our client base and revenue targets. This role demands a proactive owner who can independently drive opportunities from initial contact to qualified meeting set. You will serve as the vital first point of contact, shaping the initial perception of ShiftKey within the healthcare staffing marketplace.

What you'll do
- Proactively initiate outbound calls to a diverse range of market segments, introducing ShiftKey's innovative staffing platform and securing initial interest.
- Conduct in-depth lead qualification via phone and email to determine genuine needs, budget authority, and timeline for healthcare facility prospects.
- Schedule and coordinate high-quality product demonstration meetings with Sales Account Executives, ensuring alignment between stakeholder availability and client priorities.
- Confidently lead live product demonstrations for qualified prospects, articulating the value of ShiftKey's marketplace model in solving staffing shortages.
- Perform comprehensive account research on target facilities to tailor messaging and uncover specific operational pain points before engagement.
- Meticulously manage your sales pipeline using CRM tools, logging all interactions and updating deal stages to forecast accurately.
- Collaborate strategically with internal stakeholders during enterprise meetings to refine positioning and address competitive concerns.
- Apply advanced consultative selling techniques to deeply understand client challenges, fostering trust and long-term retention.
- Analyze conversion metrics and feedback from booked meetings to continuously iterate and improve outreach messaging over time.
- Pursue dormant clients with targeted re-engagement campaigns designed to reactivate interest and uncover new expansion opportunities.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell pathways within the ShiftKey platform, presenting tailored solutions that match evolving facility demands.
- Work autonomously to exceed individual monthly and quarterly quotas, demonstrating discipline and a relentless focus on results.
- Partner closely with Sales Account Executives to share insights and best practices that enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.
- Contribute to the collective knowledge base of the sales team by documenting successful tactics and common objection handling.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the designated work location in Irving, Texas. You must possess a Bachelor's Degree or have equivalent work experience in a sales capacity that demonstrates proven ability. You must have a documented track record in inside sales, phone-based sales, or similar roles where you have achieved or exceeded established targets. You must exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with both external prospects and internal teams. You must be highly comfortable utilizing software, sales tools, and technology platforms to manage complex lead information and track progress accurately. You must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, showing adaptability when facing new sales challenges and shifting priorities. You must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor during all on-site interactions at the Irving headquarters. You must commit to starting the role with the expectation of being on-site five days a week during the initial ramp-up period. You must comply with all company policies regarding hybrid work arrangements, which may require manager approval after the initial months. You must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for this position at this time.
