Engineering Manager, Events Analytics Platform
Job description
About the role
Sentry is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Events Analytics Platform (EAP) team, a critical pillar in our mission to provide developer-first observability for over 4 million developers worldwide. In this role, you will own the strategic direction and execution of one of Sentry's most vital data platforms, responsible for how event data such as errors, transactions, spans, profiles, replays, and metrics are stored, queried, and analyzed. You will guide the evolution of our architecture to support complex analytical workloads and the demanding requirements of AI agents and MCP servers powering Seer. The position requires deep collaboration with cross-functional partners to unify all event data into a single platform that enables fast, large-scale, and complex cross-event querying. You will foster a culture of growth, accountability, and inclusion while navigating significant scaling challenges and operational demands. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct influence over Sentry's long-term product and platform strategy. The manager will mentor a talented engineering team, setting high expectations for ownership and impact, and helping junior engineers advance into senior roles.
