What you'll do

Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business goals of Bamboohr.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to define product requirements and specifications.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives.
Lead the product development lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts, ensuring the final product meets user expectations.
Monitor product performance post-launch, utilizing analytics and user feedback to inform future iterations and improvements.
Facilitate product training and support for internal teams and customers, ensuring they are well-versed in product features and benefits.
Act as a product evangelist, representing Bamboohr at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new technologies.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI and IT operations to inform product strategy and development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the software or technology sector.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products, particularly in AIOps or related domains.
Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in IT operations and infrastructure management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, or similar).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong customer focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Nice to have

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with AIOps solutions.
Experience in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to drive product insights.
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices.
Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.

Skills & tools

Proficiency in product management software and tools for project tracking and collaboration.
Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
Ability to create wireframes and prototypes to communicate product ideas effectively.

Practical notes

This position is based in Santa Clara, California, and may require occasional travel for customer meetings and industry events.
The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote work with in-office presence as needed.
