What you'll do

• Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for crew members, ensuring that all personnel meet the necessary qualifications and certifications.
• Develop and maintain crew schedules, ensuring optimal manning levels across all vessels while adhering to maritime regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with vessel management teams to assess crew performance and address any issues that may arise during assignments.
• Implement and manage training programs for crew members, focusing on safety, compliance, and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records of crew certifications, training, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with international maritime standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members, addressing their concerns and providing support throughout their assignments.
• Liaise with external agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with maritime laws and regulations related to crew management.
• Analyze crew performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiency and crew satisfaction.
• Participate in the development and implementation of crew management policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance safety.
• Conduct regular audits of crew management practices to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the management team in strategic planning and decision-making related to crew operations and resource allocation.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional growth among crew members.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in crew management or a related field within the maritime industry.
• Strong understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and crew management best practices.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with crew members and management.
• Proficiency in crew management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• A bachelor's degree in maritime studies, human resources, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with international crew management and knowledge of various flag state regulations.
• Familiarity with training and development programs specific to the maritime industry.
