• Oversee the entire lifecycle of game features, from conceptualization to launch and subsequent optimization, ensuring a seamless player experience.
• Create engaging solo and multiplayer social minigames aimed at boosting player interaction and retention.
• Translate overarching franchise objectives into specific, actionable design documents that guide the development process.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, artists, engineers, and production staff to guarantee that all features are implemented to the highest standards.
• Analyze industry trends and competitor strategies to inform and shape the product roadmap effectively.
• Offer constructive design feedback and support during implementation to ensure that new features align with the game's core vision and goals.
• Mentor and guide team members, influencing project outcomes even without direct managerial authority.
• Conduct regular assessments of player feedback and gameplay data to refine and enhance game features post-launch.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing free-to-play (F2P) mobile casual games, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Demonstrated success in creating and maintaining social gameplay mechanics that enhance player engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts to diverse teams.
• Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to assess risks and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in intermediate statistics and data visualization, particularly using Excel, to analyze gameplay data and inform design choices.
• Experience in designing features within complex F2P ecosystems, understanding diverse player behaviors and preferences.
• Familiarity with AI tools that can streamline design workflows and help validate design concepts.
• A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations and engagement strategies.

• Experience with live operations and ongoing game balancing in a mobile gaming context.

• The annual salary range for positions in California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is between $144,200 and $215,000 USD.
