About the role
This role offers the opportunity to own the analytics backbone for Satispay's Finance strategy from the ground up. You will be accountable for transforming raw financial data into clear, auditable insights that guide major business choices. The position requires you to build and maintain the analytical frameworks that underpin financial planning, reporting, and forecasting. You will act as the definitive source of truth for all Finance-related performance and health metrics. A core part of the role is translating complex financial outcomes into narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will leverage advanced modelling techniques to solve specific business challenges in monetisation and efficiency. The position demands a high level of ownership, pushing initiatives forward without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure that every decision within the Finance function is backed by robust, real-time evidence.

What you'll do
Take end-to-end ownership of analytics initiatives for Finance, defining the problem, the methodology, and the final business impact.
Build and manage Financial Analytics & Reporting Capabilities, including P&L and cash flow analytics, plan versus actual monitoring models, and financial KPI frameworks.
Lead Investor Relations Analytics, serving as the primary data and intelligence partner for Satispay's investors, including top-tier VC firms, translating business performance into clear narratives.
Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Product, acting as the primary data and analytics collaborator to bridge complexity and decision-making.
Design and deploy High-Impact Visualisation Tools, defining key financial metrics and developing dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively.
Drive Business Economics Analytics, developing frameworks around monetisation, unit economics, LTV, payback period, cost structure, and revenue drivers to link product performance with financial outcomes.
Design and implement AI-Powered Workflows to automate anomaly detection, surfacing budget deviations and unlocking efficiencies in analytical processes for budgeting and re-forecasting.
Contribute to the evolution of the data layer by designing financial data models and pipelines that integrate into the company's federated data strategy.
Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across all financial analytical outputs to maintain trust and accuracy in reporting.
Own the documentation and logic of analytical assets to ensure transparency, scalability, and ease of use for the wider organization.
Translate highly technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that influence executive-level strategy and operational execution.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by enabling stakeholders with self-serve access to reliable financial insights.
Continuously challenge existing methodologies, identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy, speed, and clarity of financial analysis.
Act as the central coordination point for financial reporting, consolidating inputs and delivering a consistent, unified view of performance.
Requirements
You need Relevant Experience spanning 5+ years in data-related roles, covering Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and BI.
You must bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience in high-volume data environments.
Experience working in or closely with Finance, FP&A, or Controlling functions is a strong plus.
Financial Data Expertise is essential, requiring hands-on experience in financial data modelling, a solid understanding of P&L structures, cash flow analytics, and plan versus actual monitoring.
Familiarity with ERP data schemas, such as SAP, is highly valued for modelling and transforming financial data for analytical use.
Technical Proficiency is non-negotiable, demanding a strong command of SQL, dbt, and Python.
You need proven experience with Data Modelling & ETL, designing data models and building ETL pipelines for high-volume, high-frequency financial data.
AI Fluency is required, with comfort in using AI tools day-to-day for analytics, automation, and generating ad-hoc analyses, including C-level summaries and business cases.
Basic to mid-level proficiency with Claude is a strong plus, alongside experience interacting with agents programmatically via APIs.
Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills are necessary to navigate ambiguity, break down complex financial problems, and deliver evidence-based answers.
You must take end-to-end ownership of analytical projects, handling problem framing, stakeholder recommendations, and monitoring business impact.
Stakeholder Management & Communication skills are crucial to independently leading initiatives and translating technical findings for senior stakeholders.
Unit Economics & Monetisation Knowledge is required, with familiarity with consumer lifecycle metrics including Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Monetisation, and Referral.
Nice to have
Knowledge of Satispay's specific products and user journeys would be valuable for contextualising analytics.
Experience with Hex, Databricks, or Jupyter for notebook-based analytics is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP Public Cloud is also a plus.
