What you'll do
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to assess and improve their quality management systems, ensuring compliance with Safetrust's standards.
- Conduct regular audits of supplier facilities to evaluate their manufacturing processes and quality control measures.
- Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to enhance product quality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and procedures that align with industry best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development initiatives, ensuring that supplier capabilities meet project requirements.
- Facilitate training sessions for suppliers on quality standards and expectations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues related to supplier products, coordinating with internal teams to implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on supplier performance, audit findings, and quality metrics for management review.
- Support the sourcing team in evaluating potential suppliers, providing input on their quality capabilities and risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in all supplier interactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives and supplier performance expectations.
- Contribute to the development of quality improvement projects, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and root cause analysis to drive results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance or supplier quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed for audits and assessments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software and tools for data analysis.
- Certification in quality management or engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
- Previous experience in the technology or electronics industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with supplier relationship management tools and software.
