What you'll do

• Lead the quality assurance team in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to identify quality requirements and establish testing protocols.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage of testing processes.
• Conduct thorough reviews of product specifications and requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution of issues.
• Mentor and train junior quality engineers, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality assurance processes, providing regular reports to management.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality engineering, integrating new methodologies and tools into existing practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, advocating for quality enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate root cause analysis sessions for critical defects, driving corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Engage in stakeholder communication to ensure transparency regarding quality metrics and project status.
• Contribute to the development of a quality-centric culture within the organization, promoting best practices and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in security testing or knowledge of security best practices in software development.
• Certification in quality assurance or testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or working with emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to software quality assurance.
