What you'll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for mobile applications across various platforms, including iOS and Android.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases to ensure thorough coverage of application functionality.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the codebase.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to continuously improve the QA process.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to the development team to enhance application performance and user experience.
• Assist in the development of automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process.
• Prepare and present detailed test reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to the overall project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile application testing, with a strong focus on QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
• Knowledge of mobile application development processes and programming languages such as Swift or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and the ability to provide feedback on design aspects.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or fast-paced tech company.
• Understanding of security testing principles for mobile applications.
