Senior CRO Manager
Job description
Senior CRO Manager at Ruby Labs.
About the role
You will own the full optimization loop end to end for our category-defining document management platform, translating deep funnel analysis into production deployments that compound over time. In this role you generate hypotheses, design high-fidelity specs, and partner directly with engineers to ship tests in days rather than months. You will work across the entire user journey from acquisition through activation, retention, and monetization, using AI tools daily to accelerate every step of the work. The pace is fast and iterative, and your performance directly shapes a compensation structure that rewards people who exceed targets. You are not a hand-off analyst; you are the owner of outcomes who keeps the engine running while documenting learnings and building a clear testing roadmap.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end optimization cycles: research, hypothesis generation, design, testing, rollout, and analysis while keeping cycles short.
- Use AI tools daily to accelerate research, ideation, design, analysis, and documentation as a core part of your workflow.
- Perform deep funnel and product analysis across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization, plus competitive benchmarking to surface high-impact opportunities.
- Design high-fidelity wireframes and visual specs in a code-first environment, defining detailed UI in Next.js and TailwindCSS rather than static mockups.
- Partner with engineers to ensure flawless test implementation, rapid deployment, and reliable measurement through platforms such as GrowthBook.
- Analyze results with statistical rigor, making confident scaling decisions based on data from Mixpanel, GrowthBook, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
- Document learnings, maintain a continuously prioritized testing roadmap, and preserve institutional knowledge for future experiments.
- Present insights and results clearly to stakeholders, building alignment and momentum to keep optimization initiatives moving forward.
- Evaluate new ideas against strict funnel and product thinking, understanding how product decisions compound with funnel decisions over time.
- Champion an AI-native workflow, forming opinions on which tools and prompts deliver the fastest, most reliable improvements in throughput and quality.
- Balance speed and iteration by prioritizing shipping two well-designed tests today over one perfect test next week without sacrificing analytical depth.
- Strengthen execution excellence through remarkable attention to detail while operating comfortably in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.
- Drive ownership by remaining self-directed, proactive, and fully accountable for measurable business outcomes tied to conversion and revenue.
- Maintain fluent English communication, ensuring written and verbal clarity across distributed teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrate proven CRO results with 3+ years of hands-on CRO experience, ideally within subscription or SaaS funnels, backed by documented performance lifts.
- Apply funnel and product thinking consistently, showing how product decisions interact with funnel choices to create compounding effects.
- Operate effectively in an AI-native workflow, actively integrating AI into daily processes for prompting, prototyping, analyzing, and drafting with clear opinions on what works.
- Exhibit strong UI/UX design taste and the ability to create compelling, detailed visual specs independently without heavy reliance on external designers.
- Embrace a bias for shipping, preferring rapid experimentation cycles that deliver learning quickly while maintaining high standards of design and measurement.
- Leverage analytical skills using Mixpanel, GrowthBook, Google Analytics, or similar platforms to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Show execution excellence through remarkable attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in fast-moving, deadline-driven contexts.
- Exercise ownership by being self-driven, proactive, and fully accountable for end-to-end outcomes and long-term experiment roadmaps.
- Communicate fluently in English with strong written and verbal skills to align cross-functional stakeholders and articulate rationale behind test decisions.
- Maintain location within approximately ± 4 hours of CET in the European Union to ensure optimal collaboration during working hours.
Nice to have
- Exposure to marketing attribution models, UTM parameters, and ROAS measurement to better evaluate channel performance and efficiency.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage dependencies, and execute testing roadmaps quickly.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or computer science to complement practical experience.
