We are seeking a strategic HR country lead to anchor our Tel Aviv office. This role requires a professional who loves all things People and owns the full HR agenda for our Israel location. Your primary mission is to shape a strong employee experience that reflects our startup values and global standards. You will act as a steady leader who transforms complex people issues into clear, actionable plans that drive execution. You will serve as a strategic partner to local leadership, ensuring alignment between global objectives and local Israeli business needs. This role includes direct management of the local HR team, where you will lead, mentor, and inspire your colleagues to high performance.

What you'll do
You will design intake workflows that convert messy requests into clear HR actions to ensure efficient handling of employee needs and queries. You will coach site leaders and managers to build resilient teams and navigate complex management decisions with confidence. You translate global HR policies into local practice, respecting and honoring the Israeli cultural context to drive adoption and trust. You will craft manager development journeys that close capability gaps and operate effectively at scale across the organization. You will grow the local HR team through mentoring and operational rigor, providing clear direction and clarity to your staff daily. You will orchestrate performance, rewards, and talent reviews with global partners to ensure alignment across regions and functions. You guide people through organizational change while protecting the site culture and maintaining high levels of trust. You interpret Israeli labor rules and handle sensitive employee relations cases with empathy and discretion to ensure compliance and fairness. You act as an AI-era People Partner, proactively identifying AI tools for HR processes to help our teams operate faster and smarter. You build cross-functional partnerships that move projects forward and collaborate to improve processes and raise standards continuously.
Requirements
You bring 7 to 10 years of HR experience in fast-moving tech environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience. You have operated successfully in both startups and global organizations, understanding the distinct challenges of each. You remain calm and effective under pressure, maintaining composure in complex and ambiguous situations. You demonstrate a record of developing managers and lifting organizational health and engagement through targeted initiatives. You have hands-on experience with employee relations, applying best practices to resolve issues fairly and consistently. You understand local labor regulations and compliance requirements well to ensure all operations are legally sound. You can operate across matrixed global structures, building deep, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You work seamlessly across different time zones and cultural contexts, showing flexibility and cultural intelligence. You manage ambiguity and change effectively, thriving in evolving business settings without losing focus. You have direct experience leading a local HR team, developing their skills, performance, and career growth proactively. You communicate clearly and exercise sound judgment in all interactions and decision-making processes. You thrive when handling complex and ambiguous situations, finding solutions even when information is incomplete.
