What you'll do
- Lead a dynamic team of software engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to help them grow in their careers and enhance their technical skills.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and project progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including agile and waterfall.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python, and experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with performance management and team development strategies.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
