About the role
The Senior Account Executive owns the end-to-end management of a strategic book of business within the Media and Entertainment sector, driving revenue growth against ambitious targets. This role owns the development and execution of innovative advertising strategies that leverage Roku's first-party data and cross-platform measurement solutions to demonstrate clear business impact. The hire will collaborate directly with creative and product teams to design and launch first-to-market advertising executions that differentiate the Roku platform. They will define and communicate key value propositions, aligning Roku's unique streaming capabilities with specific client objectives and market opportunities. This position owns the relationship strategy for senior-level decision makers at entertainment studios and agencies, ensuring long-term partnership success. The role actively gathers and synthesizes marketplace insights to inform the evolution of new ad products and measurement offerings. Ultimately, this owner drives the growth of Roku's advertising business within a defined portfolio while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction. This role reports to the Director, Head of Industry, Media and Entertainment on the advertising sales team.

What you'll do
Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that map business objectives to Roku's advertising platform capabilities for Media and Entertainment clients.
Partner with brands to demonstrate how to best leverage Roku's massive scale, first-party data, and cross-platform measurement solutions to reach target audiences effectively.
Collaborate with Roku's product and creative solutions teams to co-create innovative, first-to-market advertising executions that strengthen brand leadership.
Analyze marketplace trends and client performance data to define business drivers and build strategies that align with Roku's unique streaming advantages.
Manage a book of business against ambitious advertising revenue goals, ensuring consistent pipeline development and forecast accuracy.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior-level decision makers at entertainment studios and agencies to influence strategic direction.
Gather and synthesize competitive and customer insights to inform the development of new ad products and measurement solutions.
Champion Roku's value proposition within the Media and Entertainment ecosystem, positioning the platform as essential for modern television advertising.
Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless client experiences.
Own the end-to-end client journey, from initial engagement through to strategic renewal and expansion recommendations.
Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and demonstrate clear return on investment for clients.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing thought leadership on streaming trends and advertising best practices.
Contribute to the growth of Roku's advertising business by identifying new opportunities within existing and prospective enterprise accounts.
Represent Roku at industry events and client meetings, reinforcing the brand's position as the #1 TV streaming platform.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
The candidate must possess a proven track record of success in enterprise-level account management or business development within the media, advertising, or technology sectors.
The candidate must demonstrate experience in managing a book of business and exceeding sales quotas in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate must have a strong understanding of advertising sales, media planning, and audience measurement within the streaming or television landscape.
The candidate must be comfortable working with C-suite and senior stakeholder audiences in a professional setting.
The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
The candidate must be highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
The candidate must be willing to travel as required to meet client and team obligations.
Nice to have
Preferred experience in the Media and Entertainment industry, including entertainment studios, networks, and content creators.
Prior experience with Roku's advertising platform or other streaming/video advertising platforms.
Knowledge of first-party data strategies and cross-platform measurement in a streaming context.
Experience developing and presenting data-driven business cases to senior executive audiences.
Familiarity with incentive compensation structures in a sales environment.
Practical notes
This is a hybrid role, requiring work in the office Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.
This position is based in Santa Monica, California. For Santa Monica-based roles, the estimated annual salary range is $120,000 to $170,000.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this role.
