What you'll do

• Partner closely with the Legal and Public Policy departments to clearly communicate Roblox's safety vision, community standards, and platform policies to regulatory bodies throughout Latin America.
• Localize and adapt global policy frameworks so they resonate with regional cultural norms, legal requirements, and user expectations across LATAM markets.
• Collaborate with the Moderation Operations team to translate adapted policies into actionable enforcement guidelines, ensuring consistent and effective implementation.
• Continuously monitor the regulatory landscape, industry trends, and emerging risks to proactively identify potential challenges that could affect Roblox or its user community.
• Work hand-in-hand with product and engineering teams to inform the design, development, and deployment of enforcement systems and safety tools that comply with both internal policies and local legislation.
• Coordinate with the Product Policy Manager responsible for Global Age Ratings to guarantee that game ratings meet compliance standards in every applicable jurisdiction.
• Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on LATAM regulatory matters, advising cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, communications, business development, and operations.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that distill complex policy issues into clear recommendations and actionable strategies.
• Contribute to the creation of transparency reports, regulatory filings, and other documentation required by regional authorities.
• Engage directly with external stakeholders such as government officials, industry associations, and civil society organizations to represent Roblox's policy positions.
• Support crisis response efforts by providing rapid policy analysis and guidance when emerging issues threaten user safety or regulatory standing.
• Identify opportunities to harmonize regional policies with global standards, reducing complexity while maintaining local relevance.

Requirements

• A minimum of six years of professional experience in online Trust and Safety, Product Policy, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated background in developing content policies for global digital platforms, with particular emphasis on regional adaptation and localization.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to break down intricate issues, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend clear policy directions.
• Solid understanding of product development processes and technical systems, enabling creative and practical problem-solving.
• Proven track record of collaborating with senior leadership and presenting strategic recommendations to executive audiences.
• Full professional fluency in both English and Portuguese is mandatory for this role.
• Familiarity with video game rating frameworks, specifically Classificação Indicativa (ClassInd) and the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC).
• A Juris Doctor, Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates advanced analytical and policy-development skills.

• Prior experience engaging with international regulators and articulating nuanced policy positions on a global stage.
• Background in handling cross-border policy matters that require coordination across multiple jurisdictions and legal systems.
• Knowledge of additional languages spoken in Latin America, such as Spanish, which could enhance regional stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working within the gaming or interactive entertainment industry, particularly on matters related to user-generated content.
• Familiarity with emerging regulatory frameworks around digital safety, data protection, and platform accountability in LATAM.
• Existing relationships with regional regulatory bodies, industry groups, or advocacy organizations focused on online safety.
