About the role

In this position, you will play a crucial role in the Trust & Safety Operations team at Roblox, focusing on the analysis and reporting of Intellectual Property (IP) and Legal Compliance workflows. Your insights will help shape the operational performance of these areas, ensuring that Roblox maintains a safe and compliant environment for its community of developers and users. You will collaborate with various teams to drive data-informed decisions and enhance operational excellence.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of the analysis and reporting processes for both Intellectual Property Operations and Legal Compliance workflows, creating regular KPI reports for senior leadership in Safety, Legal, and Developer Relations.
• Conduct trend and cohort analyses to identify opportunities for improvement, building compelling business cases and leading cross-functional initiatives from conception to execution.
• Work closely with Data Science, IP Product, Policy, and Operations teams to define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), metric definitions, and analytical guidelines that promote operational excellence in IP protection and compliance.
• Design, develop, and sustain advanced operational reports and dashboards that provide vital insights regarding IP enforcement and compliance health to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders across various departments.
• Utilize appropriate analytical methods to evaluate both IP operations and Legal Compliance programs, extracting relevant data and generating actionable insights to ensure compliance with Roblox's legal and regulatory obligations.
• Stay updated on industry trends related to digital rights management and regulatory compliance, integrating these insights into operational data strategies and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and operational goals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional environment, showcasing expertise in quantitative analysis and complex program management.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property operations, including copyrights and trademarks, as well as legal compliance processes relevant to the tech industry.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, capable of executing complex queries, common table expressions, and window functions; familiarity with Git and Python or R is a plus.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, particularly in collaboration with Legal, Product, Engineering, and IP/Compliance Operations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a history of leveraging data to inform decisions, streamline workflows, and resolve operational challenges.
• Solid business acumen, with the ability to align data strategies with legal, regulatory, and IP business objectives.
• Experience in consulting with stakeholders and managing multifaceted projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong multitasking abilities and time management skills to effectively balance the diverse requirements of IP and Compliance operations.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field is required, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA or MS or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in the gaming or digital entertainment industry, particularly in roles related to data analysis or compliance.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of privacy regulations and their implications for data management and compliance.

This role is based in Gurugram, Haryana, India, and requires onsite presence from Tuesday to Thursday, with optional attendance on Monday and Friday.
