Market Research Strategy Intern
Job description
About the role
Driving Strategy in Singapore's Financial Frontier
Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion in assets is set to move to younger generations over the next twenty years, marking the largest wealth transition in history. This role sits at the center of that shift, applying innovation to solve some of the world's most complex financial challenges. If you are ready to shape the future of finance, this opportunity defines your next chapter.
The Market Research Strategy Intern position operates at the intersection of analysis and strategy for Singapore and the broader APAC region. You will serve as an external competitive analyst and strategic advisor, dissecting market mechanics and brokerage activity to uncover meaningful opportunities. This role demands intellectual rigor, ethical judgment, and the ability to turn fragmented information into decisive action. Robinhood seeks individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to building with purpose.
You will lead market inquiry from discovery to decision, owning the full research cycle for regional initiatives. This role targets strategic gaps in brokerage behavior and evolving customer dynamics. Your work will directly inform growth strategies and product direction. You translate complex market signals into clear narratives that drive measurable impact.
Chart industry benchmarks to identify white-space opportunities across Singapore and APAC financial markets. Map brokerage tactics and customer flows to guide strategic choices for leadership. Construct opportunity briefs using filings, reports, and market intelligence to assess product-market fit. Own direct strategy responsibilities and ad hoc projects with regional leadership as the central coordination point. Align findings with Legal, Compliance, and Product to ensure standards support regional growth goals. Translate intricate data into executive narratives that clarify customer segments and positioning. Validate hypotheses through public sources and market signals, maintaining clarity amid ambiguity. Champion insights in presentations that influence roadmap priorities for APAC decision-makers.
You must currently pursue a full-time degree, with graduation expected between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028, in any discipline. You must have hands-on experience with college-level consulting or strategy initiatives that show ownership beyond routine tasks. You must act as a self-starter, driving projects to completion with minimal guidance in shifting contexts. A strong interest in financial services, brokerage models, and the APAC fintech landscape is essential. You must synthesize incomplete information into clear strategic recommendations for executives. You must communicate persuasively in writing and speaking, presenting high-stakes insights to regional leadership.
This role offers a base compensation of $33.62 per hour for 2024. You will work from our Singapore office, with in-person collaboration expected for at least three days each week. We believe that in-person work accelerates progress, sparks innovation, and strengthens community.
Nice to have experience navigating ambiguous or incomplete information while preserving strategic clarity. Familiarity with Robinhood products and systems is valued. Confirm application details on the official portal, as roles and requirements may evolve.
If this mission resonates with you and you are prepared to build the future of finance, we invite you to apply. Robinhood is an equal opportunity employer. We provide reasonable accommodations upon request and comply with all applicable employment and privacy laws. Inclusion is embedded in our hiring and how we work, welcoming diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
