This role centers on owning privacy risk decisions for finance platforms, guiding AI tooling, and embedding data governance within strict regulatory boundaries. You will shape how the firm handles inherited wealth flows while maintaining global privacy compliance. The environment expects high pace, clear ethics, and daily cross-team collaboration. You will own the privacy implications of new data flows and ensure that sensitive financial information is handled with the highest level of care. You will act as the primary privacy authority for product teams, providing strategic direction on complex data governance challenges. This position requires a strong commitment to ethical data handling and the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements in a regulated industry. You will be a key driver in aligning technological innovation with the principles of fairness, transparency, and user trust.

The position is based in our New York, NY office. In-person attendance is required for at least three days each week to support our culture of focused teamwork and innovation. Compensation includes a base range of one hundred sixty thousand to two hundred thirty thousand USD, performance multipliers, equity ownership, and ninety percent dependent coverage. What you'll do

• Design intake workflows for privacy architecture, establishing risk identification checkpoints before any code ships to prevent downstream compliance issues.
• Build and utilize AI agents to automate repetitive governance tasks across data lifecycles, scaling privacy operations efficiently while reducing manual overhead.
• Guide partner teams on privacy-by-design principles, translating complex regulations into clear, actionable implementation steps for global products and services.
• Review cross-functional designs and embed privacy-enhancing technologies and secure handling practices from the initial concept phase through full deployment in production environments.
• Coordinate closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure systems remain aligned with evolving frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA, addressing any potential conflicts proactively.
• Champion industry best practices by running educational sessions and workshops that elevate privacy thinking across engineering, product, and design groups.
• Enable faster execution with strong governance by creating and maintaining enablement artifacts that help squads move quickly while ensuring audit readiness and robust oversight.
• Maintain continuous readiness for regulatory and internal audits by documenting decisions, data flows, and control outcomes with exceptional clarity and precision for review.
• Assess third-party vendors and data-sharing arrangements to confirm that privacy risks are managed appropriately throughout the broader ecosystem.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement secure data pipelines that enforce privacy controls and minimize unnecessary data retention.
• Develop metrics and monitoring frameworks to track the effectiveness of privacy controls and identify areas for improvement over time.
• Serve as a technical advisor on privacy matters for major initiatives, ensuring that privacy considerations are integrated into product roadmaps from the outset.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Bring two or more years of professional experience in data privacy or security, managing technical and operational processes under fast-paced timelines and competing priorities.
• Show high proficiency with artificial intelligence, having built and deployed AI agents to solve real operational problems effectively and responsibly.
• Possess a deep understanding of GLBA, GDPR, and CCPA regulations, allowing you to apply these frameworks to systems that handle sensitive financial data and personal information.
• Have hands-on experience with privacy-enhancing technologies and data anonymization practices to guide secure data lifecycle decisions and reduce re-identification risks.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively, building strong partnerships with legal, compliance, and non-technical stakeholders while explaining complex privacy topics to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrate strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and making decisions that impact user privacy and organizational risk.
• Be comfortable working in a regulated financial environment where compliance requirements dictate technical decisions and require careful attention to detail.

• Experience with agentic tooling and privacy operations automation will further strengthen your contributions and efficiency in managing privacy workflows.
