About the role
You will own the end to end lifecycle of complex system deployments for Rivet customers, acting as the central orchestrator from initial scoping through full operational handover. You analyze operational realities and data insights to design robust implementation roadmaps that align technology with mission critical objectives. In this role you will serve as the primary relationship manager, bridging Rivet engineering and commercial teams with customer stakeholders to maintain clarity and shared purpose. You anticipate systemic risks and define mitigation strategies that protect timelines while creating opportunities for competitive advantage and deeper collaboration. You will translate ambiguous customer needs into structured, actionable plans that ensure what is proposed is exactly what is delivered. The position requires you to deliver high impact demos and presales vision materials that communicate Rivet's integrated capabilities to sophisticated defense and industrial audiences. You will qualify new engagements across global locations, expanding our reach into demanding environments where operational resilience is non negotiable. What you'll do
Define and execute comprehensive deployment plans that integrate hardware, software, sensors, AI, and networking for government and commercial customers.
Analyze operational conditions and data insights to develop actionable strategies that ensure Rivet systems meet intended performance and mission outcomes.
Act as the customer voice within Rivet, advocating for key needs and ensuring engineering and commercial teams maintain alignment with program objectives.
Partner with commercial and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into structured, competitive proposals that reflect Rivet's capabilities and roadmap.
Anticipate potential deployment challenges and devise proactive solutions that minimize risk and enable smooth transitions in complex environments.
Track deployment milestones, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and enforce fidelity to agreed timelines and deliverables.
Develop customer specific roadmaps that identify opportunities for Rivet and clients to create new value alone or with third party partners.
Deliver technical demonstrations and presales vision materials that illustrate Rivet's integrated task systems to new and existing customers.
Qualify potential engagements in expanding global locations, assessing feasibility and alignment with Rivet's security and operational standards.
Own key aspects of business development by scoping technical approaches, defining deployment strategies, and authoring detailed customer proposals.
Ensure continuity between proposal concepts and final delivery, maintaining trust and reliability with mission critical customers.
Support iterative adjustments to deployment plans based on real time feedback and evolving operational realities.
Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to verify that all activities adhere to federal regulations and internal governance requirements.
Champion a bias toward action, using planning acumen and technology insight to drive outcomes for large scale industrial and defense customers.
Establish measurable success criteria for each deployment, enabling data driven reviews of system performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
You bring 5 or more years managing Department of War and industrial enterprise deployments of complex integrated technology solutions, with aerospace or defense platform experience strongly preferred.
You own 5 or more years of technical solution sales and customer facing outcomes, demonstrating a track record of success in mission critical environments.
You possess professional experience with mobile technologies, industry specialized services, and deep tech business development associated with secure fleets, operations, or facilities.
You have contributed to or owned technical proposals, statement of work development, and capture efforts for government and enterprise customers.
You hold an active US Security Clearance or can obtain one, proving your ability to operate within regulated defense and government contexts.
You are willing to travel between 35 and 70 percent, embedding with Rivet teams or customer sites as deployment needs dictate.
This position requires U.S. citizenship due to the nature of our business and federal compliance obligations. Upon hire, you will provide documentation verifying your status as a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Practical notes
Travel is limited to the range specified in the key facts section, between 35 percent and 70 percent of work time, primarily for customer engagements and on site deployment activities. This role may require embedding with teams at customer facilities or Rivet offices depending on project needs.
