What you'll do

• Design and implement robust test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functionalities.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential quality issues early in the development process.
• Execute manual and automated testing across various platforms, including web and mobile applications, to identify defects and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, enhancing the efficiency of the testing process.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and track their resolution, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously enhance the QA process and practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct performance and load testing to assess system behavior under various conditions and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Prepare detailed test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to team objectives and improve overall processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks, with a solid understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications, with a strong grasp of various testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify potential quality issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• A detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Previous experience in the public transportation or related industries.
• Understanding of security testing principles and practices.
