About the role
Revantageasia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join our legal team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal support to our operations across the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate law, with a focus on real estate, investment, and commercial transactions. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with local regulations and managing legal risks while supporting the strategic objectives of the company.

What you'll do
- Provide expert legal counsel on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with company policies and legal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business initiatives.
- Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the company's operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to enhance compliance and governance frameworks.
- Manage external legal counsel as necessary, ensuring that services provided align with the company's objectives and budget.
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal matters, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties, including regulatory bodies, partners, and clients.
- Participate in the review and management of corporate filings and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws.
- Support the legal team in various projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Monitor and analyze legal trends and developments that may impact the company, providing strategic insights to senior management.
- Assist in dispute resolution processes, including mediation and arbitration, to protect the company's interests.
Requirements
- A law degree from a recognized institution and admission to the bar in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal role, preferably within the real estate or investment sectors.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.

- Experience working in an international law firm or in-house legal department.
- Familiarity with real estate transactions and investment structures in the Asia-Pacific market.
