Revantageasia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Portfolio Accounting and Financial Reporting. What you'll do

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Oversee the portfolio accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Manage the audit process by coordinating with external auditors and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
• Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related filings.
• Drive initiatives for process automation and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Liaise with investment teams to provide financial insights and support for portfolio management activities.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders as required.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations.
• Proven experience in portfolio accounting and financial analysis within the real estate or investment sectors.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in the real estate investment trust (REIT) sector or private equity funds is advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CMA are a plus.
• Multilingual abilities can be beneficial in a diverse work environment.
