Revantageasia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Portfolio Accounting and Financial Reporting. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial reporting processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across various portfolios. What you'll do
- Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee the portfolio accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage the audit process by coordinating with external auditors and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support decision-making processes and strategic planning initiatives.
- Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related filings.
- Drive initiatives for process automation and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
- Liaise with investment teams to provide financial insights and support for portfolio management activities.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations.
- Proven experience in portfolio accounting and financial analysis within the real estate or investment sectors.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience in the real estate investment trust (REIT) sector or private equity funds is advantageous.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CMA are a plus.
- Multilingual abilities can be beneficial in a diverse work environment.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
