Position Details
Location: India
Engagement: Full-time
Compensation: 28,00,000 INR per year
What you'll do
- Architect the ingestion layer that standardizes diverse supply chain signals into a governed data lake, ensuring raw events are captured with integrity and traceability.
- Build transformation logic that converts fragmented event streams into structured, versioned features that power visibility, monitoring, and real-time analytics.
- Refine dimensional and semantic data models to accelerate product team iteration while preserving backward compatibility and stable customer views.
- Implement automated testing patterns and data quality rules that continuously validate correctness and completeness of critical datasets.
- Coordinate with customer success and implementation teams to align schemas with specific use cases, regulatory obligations, and compliance requirements.
- Guide platform improvements and self-service tooling to allow operations teams to extend pipelines with minimal friction and maximum reliability.
- Maintain precise documentation for data contracts, lineage, and dependencies to serve both internal engineers and external integration partners.
- Support deployment practices and change management activities to move modifications safely from development through staging to production environments.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to optimize data structures for analytical performance, cost efficiency, and query responsiveness.
- Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and security of the data platform through proactive monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of three years of hands-on experience building data platforms in cloud environments, covering design, implementation, and optimization across multiple services.
- Demonstrate fluency in SQL for complex querying, optimization, and debugging across large, distributed datasets in a cloud data warehouse.
- Show proficiency in at least one modern programming language commonly used for data engineering, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Illustrate the ability to design robust schemas and storage formats, such as columnar and partitioning strategies, that handle high-volume event data with low latency.
- Prove experience with both streaming and batch processing concepts, integrating them into coherent analytical architectures that support near real-time insights.
- Display comfort engaging with technical and business stakeholders, clarifying ambiguous requirements and constraints to achieve shared understanding and alignment.
- Commit to following defined processes, standards, and governance practices that ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory adherence across the platform.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, producing clear documentation and presenting technical tradeoffs to diverse audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience working in life sciences, aerospace, defense, high tech, or automotive contexts, with an understanding of domain-specific data challenges.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and compliance considerations, such as data residency, auditability, and controlled access, recognized as a strong asset.
