Position Overview
We are transforming Assure from a simple log and metric collector for printers into a comprehensive fleet management platform. The web experience is central to this evolution, providing users with the ability to monitor their fleet, understand device health, and act on critical data. We are seeking a Software Engineer II for the Web Front End team to lead this transformation. This role involves shaping user interactions with a growing platform while building scalable and maintainable front-end solutions using React.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this full-time position is between $120,000 and $150,000. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. In addition to a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and equity program, as applicable.

Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, development, and ongoing evolution of the Assure web user interface.
- Modernize the existing application by migrating legacy UI components to a scalable React-based foundation.
- Partner with internal users and stakeholders to understand workflows, gather requirements, and shape an intuitive, effective user experience.
- Design and develop rich, interactive data visualizations that provide actionable insights into print-job performance and printer fleet health.
Qualifications
- Bring 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on web front-end development.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with modern web development practices.
- Have professional experience building production applications with React, including component design, hooks, state management, routing, and component styling.
- Show experience designing and building reusable, maintainable UI components and front-end architectures.
- Have experience integrating web applications with REST APIs and collaborating with backend engineers to consume and present data.
- Have experience writing and maintaining automated tests for web applications, including unit, integration, and/or component tests.
- Possess a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser fundamentals.
- Demonstrate skill in troubleshooting, debugging, and improving front-end application performance and reliability.
- Have the ability to translate user and business requirements into intuitive and effective user experiences.
- Show strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with users, stakeholders, designers, and software engineers.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to complex user interfaces in manufacturing or operations platforms.
