Join our rapidly expanding team as a Technical Recruiter, focusing on full-cycle talent acquisition for our engineering and product departments. You will partner with hiring managers to build diverse teams by sourcing, engaging, and closing exceptional technical professionals in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid position is based in our Vancouver office and requires comfort with asynchronous communication across distributed teams. You will act as a key talent partner, shaping the hiring strategy for critical technology and construction technology initiatives. Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle for technical and product roles, including Full Stack Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and Integration Engineers.
- Translate hiring manager needs into clear role requirements and candidate profiles, aligning on success metrics and strategic hiring plans.
- Source passive and active talent through channels such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Findem, GitHub, niche communities, employee referrals, and targeted networking.
- Optimize the candidate pipeline within the Applicant Tracking System, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and a seamless candidate experience.
- Conduct resume reviews and initial interviews to evaluate technical competency, motivation, and cultural alignment with company values.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and guide candidates through each stage, maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders.
- Negotiate offers and manage acceptance discussions, balancing candidate expectations with organizational constraints and market standards.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for both immediate openings and future needs, including specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
- Track and report on key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and pipeline conversion to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a respectful, efficient, and positive candidate experience in every interaction and communication channel.
- Monitor industry hiring trends, compensation bands, and the competitive landscape within technology and construction technology sectors.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to enhance employer branding and refine recruitment strategies based on market insights.
Requirements
- Possess 4 or more years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a background in startup or fast-growing tech companies.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of recruiting for Full Stack Engineering, Data Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, or Integration Engineering roles.
- Have direct experience with an Applicant Tracking System, showing a strong preference for Ashby or Greenhouse platforms.
- Show strong sourcing capabilities across multiple platforms, including social media, job boards, and professional networks, with a history of engaging passive candidates.
- Exhibit excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and candidates at all levels.
- Display adaptability in a fast-paced environment, managing shifting priorities and multiple concurrent searches under tight deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing complex pipelines, schedules, and reporting.
- Be eligible to work in Canada and able to perform the role in a hybrid capacity from our Vancouver office.
- Have a solid understanding of employment law and compliance as it applies to technical hiring in British Columbia.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clarity in all stakeholder interactions.
Nice to have
- Bring prior recruiting experience within Construction Technology (ConTech) or SaaS environments.
- Show familiarity with technical hiring assessments and structured technical interview frameworks.
- Have experience developing recruiting processes or playbooks from scratch to scale hiring operations.
- Maintain an established network within the Vancouver tech community, including local meetups, conferences, and online groups.
