About the role

In this position, you will exercise significant ownership over the quality operations that govern the Terran R vehicle throughout its entire lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring that rigorous standards are maintained during both test and launch phases at our primary facility. The role requires direct hands-on interaction with hardware to validate processes and confirm compliance. You will spearhead the development of robust processes designed to support high-cadence flight operations specific to Cape Canaveral. This position sits at the intersection of manufacturing, test, and engineering, requiring a holistic view of product delivery. You will manage the flow of information and physical artifacts to ensure traceability and compliance. Your work will directly influence the reliability and safety of flight hardware. This is a critical role for maintaining the integrity of our quality management systems.

What you'll do

• Manage non-conformances, issue tracking tickets, and as-built verification activities specific to launch and test hardware.
• Develop, control, and maintain work instructions, repair documentation, and formal corrective action plans to ensure procedural accuracy.
• Act as a liaison, collaborating closely with manufacturing, test, and engineering departments to align on overarching program objectives.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify root causes and formulate preventative measures that span the entire product lifecycle.
• Drive the implementation and maintenance of the AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) and contribute to policy improvements.
• Participate in hardware readiness reviews and procurement activities to mitigate risks and ensure successful mission execution.
• Perform detailed reviews of process documentation to verify adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support the execution of quality audits and assist in the collection and analysis of metrics to drive operational excellence.
• Investigate field failure reports and internal anomalies to develop actionable solutions that prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and customer mandates.
• Assist in the development and oversight of quality metrics that track the health of manufacturing and test processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams on quality-related matters.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering or a STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to solve complex problems using established engineering principles and methodologies.
• Possess experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Show the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and travel as required by operational needs at the Cape Canaveral facility.
• Must be able to obtain a US government security clearance to work at the Cape Canaveral site.
• Must comply with all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties in a technical environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment authorization.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, test, or quality engineering roles.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or NASA standards and their application in a operational environment.
• Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and QMS software platforms.
• Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Production Part Approval Process (PPV) methodologies.
• Experience scaling quality processes and procedures within a rapidly growing organization.
