About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for developing large-scale business intelligence solutions aimed at enhancing financial transparency and aiding decision-making processes across Finance, Accounting, and associated departments. Your expertise will guide the entire lifecycle of data initiatives, from initial architectural design through to the implementation of AI-enhanced reporting systems.

What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of AI-driven analytics, utilizing advanced BI platforms such as Aperium to evolve from traditional static dashboards to dynamic, conversational self-service insights.
- Create innovative AI-native reporting interfaces that empower leadership with automated data exploration capabilities and natural language querying features.
- Oversee the comprehensive development of dashboards and data models, ensuring thorough requirements gathering, validation processes, and continuous enhancements.
- Craft intricate SQL transformations to seamlessly integrate data from ERP, MES, and HRIS systems, while rigorously testing to maintain data accuracy.
- Communicate model logic and analytics strategies to both technical team members and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
- Ensure the performance, usability, and data currency of all AI analytics products, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Advocate for documentation best practices and drive quality improvements across the team to enhance overall productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges, ensuring that analytics solutions meet business needs.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the analytics team.
- Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to inform future iterations of analytics tools and reporting systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and AI, applying this knowledge to enhance existing processes and tools.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the fields of business intelligence and data modeling, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- At least 2 years of direct experience working with financial or accounting data, showcasing an understanding of the unique challenges in this domain.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in working with ERP data systems to extract and manipulate data effectively.
- Familiarity with AI-driven analytics platforms such as Aperium, Tableau Pulse, or ThoughtSpot, with a focus on leveraging these tools for enhanced insights.
- Experience with dbt, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, highlighting your ability to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
- Knowledge of semantic layers and data structures that are optimized for AI applications, ensuring that data is accessible and usable.
- Expertise in data visualization techniques, data storytelling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to present insights effectively.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to define metrics clearly and provide user training to ensure effective tool usage.
Nice to have
- Experience with Infor LN or similar ERP systems, which can enhance your ability to work with financial data.
- A background in the manufacturing or aerospace industries, providing context for the specific challenges faced in these sectors.
- Familiarity with Power BI or legacy BI tools, which could be beneficial for migration projects and integration efforts.
- Understanding of RAG architecture, prompt engineering, or capabilities related to large language models (LLMs), adding depth to your analytics skill set.
