Senior Manager, Finance Supply Chain and Material Management

About the role

You will lead the Supply Chain Finance team at Relativity, setting strategic direction for inventory financial planning, materials spend management, and manufacturing bill of materials cost analysis. In this role, you will drive end-to-end improvements across finance, supply chain, and materials management regarding the financial management of the bill of materials and capturing evolutions of the vehicle over time. You will own the development, monitoring, and optimization of materials planning and inventory management systems to ensure financial accuracy and strategic visibility. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners including manufacturing, procurement, and engineering to align financial planning with production and launch timelines. You will play a key role in fundraising and corporate development activities by providing critical materials and cost insights to the Board of Directors and senior leadership. This is a mission-critical role where your work will directly influence how efficiently and reliably Relativity delivers rockets to orbit. What you'll do

Lead the Supply Chain Finance team and define the strategic roadmap for inventory financial planning, materials spend management, and bill of materials cost analysis.

Drive end-to-end financial improvements across finance, supply chain, and materials management for the vehicle bill of materials and its evolutions over time.

Own the development and optimization of materials planning and inventory management systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and alignment with production goals.

Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to integrate financial planning with production schedules and launch commitments.

Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic decisions related to materials, suppliers, and cost structures across the supply chain.

Partner with fundraising and corporate development efforts by supplying materials cost visibility and strategic financial narratives to investors and the Board.

Monitor and report on key supply chain finance metrics, identifying risks, opportunities, and variances against plan.

Champion data-driven decision-making by building tools and frameworks that enhance visibility into materials costs, inventory valuation, and financial performance.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial governance across supply chain and materials management processes.

Act as a thought partner to leadership, translating complex supply chain finance concepts into actionable strategies for growth and efficiency.

Requirements

8+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance, supply chain, or materials management, with at least some experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Strong demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Solid understanding of bill of materials concepts, inventory management, and cost accounting principles.

Proven ability to manage complex spreadsheets and financial models, with advanced proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn Relativity's tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels through data and clear narratives.

Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for action, with comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environments.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this role.

Nice to have

Previous experience in the aerospace, defense, or space industry is preferred.

Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and supply chain software is a plus.

Familiarity with Relativity or similar new space companies is a strong advantage.

Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and presenting to senior leadership or the Board.

Knowledge of manufacturing cost systems and process-driven financial planning is desirable.
