Legal Counsel, Media & Technology
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end legal strategy for Regent's media and technology portfolio companies, translating complex regulatory landscapes into clear, actionable guidance for commercial teams. This role requires you to architect and execute transactional frameworks that accelerate growth while rigorously protecting Regent and its portfolio entities from legal risk. You will serve as the primary legal partner for business leaders, embedding yourself in operational workflows to ensure contracts, policies, and data practices align with business objectives. You will manage high-volume, high-stakes negotiations, drafting precise and enforceable agreements that preserve commercial flexibility. You will also future-proof these businesses by anticipating legislative and regulatory shifts that could impact technology, media, and data strategies. This position demands a proactive mindset, where you identify issues before they escalate and develop scalable processes to handle increasing complexity. You will be measured by your ability to enable deal flow, close transactions efficiently, and maintain robust compliance standards across all portfolio companies. This is a hands-on, strategic role for a legal professional who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and seeks to have a direct impact on business outcomes.
