About the role
Redwood Software provides a unique opportunity to own the complete lifecycle of Workday Finance transformation initiatives from a technical and analytical perspective. You will act as the critical bridge between complex business requirements and the robust configuration of the Workday platform. In this role, you safeguard the integrity of financial data while accelerating automation through meticulous design and execution. You will leverage deep expertise in Adaptive Planning and Prism Analytics to enable cross-functional teams within major transformation programs. Success requires a proactive mindset to challenge existing review cycles and ensure security alignment across all Finance modules. You will ship configurations for end-to-end Accounting workflows that robustly support month-end close and financial reporting. The position demands a passion for optimizing complex business processes and guiding partners through the rollout and ongoing support of new automation solutions.

What you'll do
- Analyze intricate finance requirements and map them accurately to the intended Workday system behavior.
- Design and build integration components that establish a seamless connection between Accounting Center and external platforms.
- Challenge and review cycles rigorously to validate data rules and ensure security alignment across all Finance modules.
- Ship configurations for end-to-end Accounting workflows ensuring they robustly support month-end close and financial reporting.
- Guide partners through the rollout and ongoing support of these new automation solutions as a key stakeholder in the delivery.
- Lead risk analysis for both operational and technical issues that arise throughout the transformation program.
- Champion the governance of AI initiatives and help define specific use cases for Finance and Accounting teams.
- Monitor actively the latest AI capabilities relevant to finance operations and reporting to identify potential applications.
- Utilize Adaptive Planning and Prism Analytics to enable cross-functional teams within a major transformation program.
- Ensure the integrity of data flowing through Workday and its connected systems to maintain financial accuracy.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Employers typically seek candidates with 5-7 years of cumulative finance and accounting experience, with a deep specialization in Workday. You should demonstrate 2-3 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing Workday modules. A proven history of using project management methodologies and delivery tools is essential for success in this environment. You must have the ability to ensure the integrity of data flowing through Workday and its connected systems without compromise. Success requires the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment where shifting priorities are the norm and deadlines are critical. Clear communication, delivered with analytical rigor to diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels, is mandatory for effective collaboration.
