About the role

You will own the end-to-end execution of technically complex AI and graph analytics programs that directly advance national security mission objectives. You will partner closely with engineering teams, mission operators, and executive stakeholders to translate strategic intent into clearly prioritized, executable work. You will manage cross-functional dependencies, ensuring alignment between software delivery, data pipelines, and analytical workflows. You will drive rigorous schedule and risk management while maintaining strict awareness of evolving mission requirements. You will serve as the primary liaison between highly technical solution architects and senior decision-makers. You will ensure that project outcomes are measurable, operationally viable, and aligned with Department of Defense priorities. You will facilitate structured discovery sessions and translate ambiguous mission needs into coherent technical roadmaps. You will champion data-driven decision making throughout the project lifecycle to validate progress and demonstrate impact.

What you'll do

Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive project plans that capture scope, schedule, resources, and interdependencies for AI and graph-based initiatives.

Translate complex technical concepts and project status into clear, concise briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.

Coordinate requirements synthesis sessions with mission partners to capture needs, resolve conflicts, and validate solution fit.

Manage stakeholder expectations through structured communication plans, proactive issue escalation, and disciplined change control processes.

Monitor project health using key performance indicators, identifying variances early and implementing corrective actions to maintain delivery integrity.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between data scientists, engineers, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of analytical models into deployed environments.

Conduct regular risk assessments and mitigation planning, maintaining visibility into technical, schedule, and resource constraints.

Support solution design and architecture discussions to ensure selected approaches meet security, scalability, and performance standards.

Drive the definition of operational metrics and success criteria to enable objective assessment of project outcomes.

Oversee documentation and knowledge transfer activities to ensure continuity and support long-term maintainability of delivered solutions.

Coordinate with contracting and procurement teams to ensure compliance with government acquisition policies and timelines.

Lead the preparation of technical deliverables, including status reports, decision memos, and briefing materials for leadership.

Apply structured problem-solving techniques to address emergent issues and keep projects on track despite competing priorities.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and best practices into future project execution.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the sensitive nature of national security work.

You must possess a Top Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one, with the ability to maintain strict information security protocols.

You must have demonstrated experience managing complex technology programs within a government or defense environment.

You must have a strong understanding of software development life cycles, data pipelines, and modern engineering practices.

You must be comfortable working with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, graph analytics, and cloud-based platforms.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executives, engineers, and mission personnel.

You must be highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

You must be willing to travel as required to support customer engagements across the National Capital Region.

Nice to have

Experience with AI and graph database technologies, including practical familiarity with related tools and concepts.

Background working directly with Department of Defense customers or within the national security technology sector.

Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices.

Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance considerations relevant to government systems.

Practical notes

This is a full-time position based in Arlington, VA.

Travel is required and may occur on short notice to support customer needs across the National Capital Region.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance are mandatory for this role.
