You own the end to end delivery of complex data and AI solutions as a hands on technical leader from discovery through to production deployment. You own the design and implementation of data products and AI capabilities that are discoverable addressable and secure by design. You own the technical strategy and decision making that enables cross functional teams to deliver high quality software on schedule. You own the mentoring and line management of data engineers ensuring they have the guidance and support needed to excel. You own the partnership with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You own the credibility and expertise in pre sales and proposal activities shaping our data and AI offerings.

What you'll do
Advise clients and internal stakeholders on data and AI strategy while translating complex requirements into clear technical roadmaps. Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers through the full delivery lifecycle from discovery to production grade implementation. Design and architect data platforms using core AWS services such as RDS, DynamoDB, S3, SageMaker Lakehouse, Glue, EMR, Athena, CDC/DMS, DataBrew, Kinesis, dbt, Lake Formation, Glue Data Catalog, SageMaker Catalog, DataZone, Bedrock and AgentCore. Design and architect data platforms using core Azure services such as SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos, Blob Storage, Data Lake, OneLake, Fabric Warehouse, Data Factory, CDC, Synapse Spark, ADF, Synapse Pipelines, Purview, Foundry and Agent Service. Build and evolve data products with strong data product mentality ensuring every pipeline dataset and service is discoverable addressable and governed. Oversee the full data lifecycle including discovery storage pipelines ETL streaming data quality governance metadata management cataloguing advanced analytics and decision making. Guide teams on modern data architectures such as RAG Serverless Data Warehouse models Data Mesh Data Fabric Medallion and Data Products. Provide technical leadership and agile delivery coaching to help teams adopt and refine agile ways of working. Support delivery leads and client relationships by offering credible technical guidance during pre sales discussions and proposal development. Mentor data engineers on the team providing line management support career development and technical growth.
Requirements
You have deep production grade experience across AWS and or Azure native services with expert level knowledge of Databricks and or Snowflake. You have hands on expertise with a broad set of AWS core services covering storage lakehouse processing ETL data management and AI services as listed in the key responsibilities. You know when to apply architectural patterns such as RAG Serverless Data Warehouse Data Mesh Data Fabric Medallion and Data Products. You are comfortable consulting with technology stakeholders outside your team and communicating complex technical concepts to non technical audiences. You are a technology polyglot and an evangelist for agile ways of working who leads by example. You are able to provide line management and mentoring to data engineers in a hybrid pre remote and office based environment.
