What you'll do
- Centralize the management of all purchase orders and contracts across the organization to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all purchase requests, with an emphasis on optimizing supplier relationships and mitigating risks.
- Work closely with various teams to deploy a comprehensive ERP system that meets both current and future procurement needs, addressing both indirect services and direct materials.
- Analyze spending data to guide decisions on whether to make or buy, develop total cost of ownership models, craft category strategies, and manage enterprise risks effectively.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures for all procurement activities to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic initiatives.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored procurement solutions.
- Stay abreast of market trends and industry best practices to continuously enhance procurement strategies.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.
- Manage procurement-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide training and support to team members on procurement processes and tools to enhance overall team capabilities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain procurement, with a strong background in managing tenders, assessing purchase orders, and facilitating contract negotiations for both indirect services and direct materials, ideally within advanced manufacturing sectors.
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in using ERP systems that manage purchase order approvals and contract management, such as COUPA, ORACLE, or SAP S/4HANA.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with collaborative tools like Slack and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with proven negotiation capabilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and effectively engage with various stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CRA, GPSR, PLD, NIS2 guidelines, and familiarity with INCO Terms would be advantageous.
- Experience in the quantum computing sector or related high-tech industries.
- Previous involvement in sustainability initiatives within procurement processes.
