What you'll do
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for various products.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and align demand planning with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts based on changes in demand, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Develop and maintain demand planning tools and systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Prepare and present demand planning reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the demand planning function and implement best practices.
- Participate in regular meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss demand forecasts and address any discrepancies.
- Assist in the development of promotional strategies by providing insights on expected demand during marketing campaigns.
- Support the implementation of new software or tools related to demand planning and inventory management.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and inventory management principles.
Nice to have
- Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain management best practices and methodologies.
- Certification in demand planning or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools to present data insights effectively.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with demand planning and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
