What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to facilitate the collection, storage, and processing of large datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure that data solutions meet their needs.
• Optimize existing data architectures and workflows to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to deploy data solutions and manage data storage.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to streamline data integration processes from various sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and processing.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and data lakes, particularly in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools, such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices for data architecture.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks, which can enhance data processing capabilities.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards, particularly in relation to data privacy regulations.
• Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
