AI/ ML Tech Lead (GenAI, AWS)

About the role

You will lead the technical design and delivery of GenAI solutions for enterprise clients, owning the full lifecycle from discovery through production deployment. You will translate ambiguous business problems into robust, scalable AI workflows that leverage AWS services and Anthropic models to drive measurable outcomes. You will mentor engineers, elevate technical standards, and ensure that each engagement advances both client value and team capability. You will act as the primary technical authority in client settings, bridging the gap between complex infrastructure and executive expectations. You will collaborate closely with the Forward Deployed Executive to align technical delivery with commercial priorities and strategic KPIs. You will continuously evaluate emerging tools and patterns, translating them into repeatable Blueprints that can be scaled across engagements. You will own the architecture decisions that enable reliability, security, and performance in production environments. You will champion best practices in prompt engineering, agentic patterns, and secure data handling across the delivery lifecycle.

What you'll do

Architect and deliver end to end GenAI solutions on AWS that address specific client workflows and business outcomes.

Lead the selection and integration of Anthropic Claude models, agents, and tool use patterns with appropriate AWS managed services.

Design and implement secure, scalable, and observable AI pipelines that meet enterprise requirements for reliability and compliance.

Translate ambiguous client requirements into technical specifications, validating assumptions through iterative prototyping and stakeholder feedback.

Mentor AI Engineers and junior staff, elevating code quality, architectural thinking, and delivery practices across the pod.

Define and enforce technical standards for prompt engineering, agent orchestration, data handling, and evaluation metrics.

Collaborate with the Forward Deployed Executive to align solution design with commercial objectives and client KPIs.

Own the deployment and monitoring of solutions in production, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.

Evaluate and recommend new AWS and Anthropic capabilities, incorporating proven patterns into reusable AI Blueprints.

Drive the documentation of architectures, decisions, and runbooks to support long term maintainability and client ownership.

Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical delivery, regulatory constraints, and business goals.

Lead proof of concept efforts that de risk the most complex aspects of client problems before full scale implementation.

Support the creation of engagement artifacts such as demos, proposals, and executive summaries where technical depth is required.

Continuously reflect on delivery outcomes, extracting lessons learned to improve future AI Blueprint implementations and team practices.

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

You bring 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on distributed systems and cloud platforms.

You have 8+ years of hands on experience designing and operating infrastructure on AWS, including core services and serverless patterns.

You possess deep expertise in building and operating Generative AI applications, including prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and model fine tuning.

You are fluent in at least one modern programming language and have a strong track record of delivering production grade software.

You have experience working with regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare, understanding their compliance and risk profile.

You hold current certifications in AWS technologies, including at least one advanced specialty certification and Associate level in relevant areas.

You are already certified in Claude Code and understand how to leverage agentic workflows for software development and delivery.

Nice to have

Experience with Anthropic's Agentic SDLC program, Cowork Activation, or related agentic delivery frameworks.

Hands on work with AI Blueprint engagements in Financial Services, Insurance, or Healthcare & Life Sciences.

Practical notes

This is a full time onsite role based in Medellín, Antioquia.

Travel may be required to client sites as needed.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Colombia without sponsorship.
