About the role
You will directly support the execution of payments to suppliers and clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every transaction. You will assist with bank reconciliations, keeping our cash position clear and reliable across multiple accounts and currencies on a daily basis. You will help control and track purchase and sales invoices, making sure everything is correctly recorded and aligned with our internal processes without exception. You will contribute to OPEX analysis, giving visibility to our operating costs and helping the team make informed strategic decisions. You will support the preparation of banking reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, translating data into actionable insights. You will work closely with the Treasury Lead and the wider Finance team to support month-end processes and ongoing reporting tasks efficiently. You will own specific aspects of treasury operations, taking responsibility for the end-to-end handling of financial movements. You will act as a key liaison between finance and other departments to ensure smooth information flow and alignment on payment activities.

Monitor cash flow on a regular basis, identifying potential risks and opportunities for optimization.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and tasks as requested by the finance leadership team to support strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements in all treasury activities.
Use data to drive insights and highlight trends that can improve treasury performance and efficiency.
Support the implementation of new tools and processes to enhance the treasury and payments function.
Maintain accurate documentation for all treasury transactions and interactions for audit and review purposes.
Requirements
You are currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Data Analytics, and you are in your 4th year or pursuing a Masters.
You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw actionable conclusions.
You have excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in every task and reducing the risk of errors in financial processes.
You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You are comfortable working with numbers and have a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
You have a proactive mindset, taking initiative to learn new tools and processes in a fast-paced environment.
You are based in Madrid or are eligible to work remotely while located in the specified region.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, to facilitate clear communication within the international team.
You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to manage data and prepare financial reports.
Nice to have
Any prior experience with treasury operations or payments processing would be a significant advantage.
Familiarity with SQL or other programming languages would help you contribute faster to our data-driven initiatives.
Practical notes
This is an internship position based in Madrid or remote within the specified location.
The engagement is aligned with academic schedules and project needs.
Travel is not required for this role.
