IT Operations Analyst Internship, Madrid
Job description
About the role
You act as the internal first point of contact for day-to-day IT and workplace support for a fast-growing team of around 130 employees based in Madrid and Valencia. You own the end-to-end resolution of user tickets, ensuring issues are triaged, tracked, and closed efficiently while escalating to vendors when necessary. You will take full ownership of the device lifecycle, provisioning and configuring company laptops through an MDM and zero-touch enrollment strategy rather than manual reimaging. You execute identity and access management tasks, handling joiner-mover-leaver activities such as account creation, deactivation, SSO group management, and SaaS provisioning triggered by HR. You maintain an accurate inventory of SaaS licenses and tools, actively reclaiming unused seats on offboarding and flagging instances of shadow IT or unmanaged software. You support security hygiene initiatives, including endpoint compliance, MFA enrollment, and operational aspects of security-awareness campaigns under the direction of the security owner. You build and maintain documentation and tooling that prevents recurring issues, creating runbooks and automating simple workflows to improve team efficiency.
