What you'll do
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software, ensuring all phases of the project are accurately represented.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for various maritime projects, including labor, materials, and overhead, to support project planning and budgeting.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data and insights for accurate estimation and scheduling.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
- Conduct regular reviews of project progress against the established schedule and budget, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects, ensuring all estimates are competitive and aligned with company standards.
- Support the procurement process by providing detailed specifications and quantities required for materials and services.
- Participate in project meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on your analysis of project data and trends.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning and estimation within the maritime or construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy in estimates and schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and standards is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Nice to have
- Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is advantageous.
- Experience with cost control and financial management in maritime projects.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing project designs and specifications.
