What you'll do

• Conduct site assessments and evaluations to gather data and inform project planning and execution.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed engineering plans and schedules that align with project goals.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of maritime systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field teams, addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications, to track project progress and compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and requirements.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior engineers and field staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to analyze data and create models that support project design and implementation.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders on progress and any potential challenges.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all work meets established standards and specifications.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology, integrating new methods and practices into project workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in field engineering or a similar role, preferably within the maritime industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards applicable to maritime projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for design and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, which may include extended periods away from home.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain any necessary certifications or licenses for specific projects.
