- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and health programs tailored to the specific needs of Prismmaritime's operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and team leaders to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, emergency response procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Analyze incident reports and safety data to identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce workplace accidents.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding environmental and safety compliance issues.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to safety training, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Participate in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness in case of incidents.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in environmental safety and health.
- Collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure that all operations meet environmental standards and sustainability goals.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management on safety performance and compliance status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental safety and health, preferably in the maritime or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety management systems.
- Proven experience conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and educate employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
